DeePhi teams up with China United Property Insurance to explore migration testing of multi-source and heterogeneous databases

Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, DmSQL, Kingbase, and Shenzhou Universal are all included in this project.

 

In the wave of digitization sweeping the world today, digital transformation is advancing deep, and the explosion of data volume. The development of domestic innovation in databases has a far-reaching impact on promoting the independent and sustainable development of the domestic information technology industry!

China Bank Insurance Information Technology Management Co., Ltd. (referred to as China Bank Insurance Information) is approved by the State Council and directly managed by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission as a financial infrastructure operation and management unit, with the important mission of building and operating a unified national banking and insurance industry information sharing system.

In order to address the growing data challenges, China Bank Insurance Information previously partnered with DSG to use DSG's independently developed DSG SuperSync high-performance database replication tool to successfully complete migration testing of multi-source heterogeneous databases for indigenous innovation.

This migration test was a two-way journey for indigenous operating systems and indigenous databases.

 

Involving heterogeneous environment migration, from AIX, Windows and other environments to Kylin V7 domestic operating system, involving 6 source database types and 6 target database types, totaling 14 heterogeneous replication links. The details are as follows:

Based on the application requirements of real-time data collection between heterogeneous databases by Bank-Insurance-Credit, in the POC test scenario, the DSG SuperSync high-performance database replication tool has shown strong support capability in terms of ease of operation (deployment, configuration, update, monitoring, etc.), support for common DML and DDL operations, fault recovery capability, data synchronization performance, and has achieved satisfactory results.

 

Including the synchronization of data from databases such as Oracle and SQL Server to databases such as DM, Kingbase, and Shenzhou General, with requirements for quasi real-time synchronization and normal data delays in seconds.



 

This test cooperation not only reflects the professional technical strength of DSI in the field of data replication, but also provides strong support for the digital construction of China Silver Insurance Trust!

About DSG SuperSync

DSG SuperSync is a domestically developed data replication software with independent intellectual property rights, not relying on any third-party software.

The product has made important breakthroughs in mastering core technology, including low-level data block parsing and log analysis technology, multi-target end, and fast loading technology.

Based on the satisfaction of previous test results, the cooperation between China Credit & Insurance Trust and DSIJ has become even closer. Subsequently, the two parties jointly implemented a heterogeneous data synchronization project from China Credit & Insurance Trust's Dameng database to Shanghai Guohua Life Insurance's Oracle database, meeting the needs for the migration of production business data from Dameng to Oracle and real-time replication of incremental data, injecting new momentum into the digital transformation of China Credit & Insurance Trust and Guohua Life Insurance!

It involves three main scenarios:

First, character set conversion
The inconsistency of character sets between the source and target databases causes problems such as garbled Chinese characters in full and incremental data, as well as column value length issues. Through the adjustment and optimization of the DSG SuperSync replication tool, setting of the character sets for full data loading and incremental data, and adjustment of column value ranges, normal character set conversion and successful data synchronization are achieved.

Second, large field export
The issue of full export of large fields from the Dameng database source side is updated and adapted by the DSG SuperSync synchronization tool to meet the export requirements for large fields.

Third, large field loading
The support of different storage sizes for large fields in indigenous databases, as well as various issues such as target databases not supporting certain large field types or having smaller column value ranges, are optimized through the DSG SuperSync synchronization tool to support large fields. For some special large fields, a mapping scheme is adopted to map to other large fields, allowing for the loading of data from the source side within the column value range.

Since its launch in March 2023, the project between China Credit & Insurance Trust and Guohua Life Insurance has been operating stably.

In the future, as digital transformation continues to deepen and indigenous database technology continues to develop, DSIJ will continue to leverage its technical advantages in the field of data replication to provide high-quality data synchronization solutions to more clients. Additionally, the cooperation between the two parties is expected to further drive the development of indigenous database technology in the financial sector, helping to steer the course for digital transformation!
