On November 16, 2023, DSG was invited to attend the OceanBase 2023 Annual Conference, which was themed "Forge Self-research, Practice Far-reaching". The conference brought together top database technology experts, entrepreneurs, and developers from across the country to share the core system upgrades and practical experiences of digital transformation, and to jointly explore the development of database technology.

During the conference, OceanBase officially announced its continued commitment to the "integrated" new strategy, aimed at creating an integrated database for critical business workloads. In addition, the conference also marked the release of OceanBase 4.2.1 LTS, the first long-term support version of the integrated database, signifying OceanBase's entry into a scalable and sustainable long-term support phase.

Furthermore, at the conference, OceanBase's CEO, Mr. Yang Bing, announced a comprehensive upgrade to the service system for the new year. Along with 17 partners, they will initiate the "Gathering Strength with the Wind" action to tackle key business systems, continuing to support enterprise's crucial business system upgrades.

Looking back, on June 1, 2021, the OceanBase 3.0 Summit was held with the theme of "Openness and Win-Win, Restart". OceanBase announced its official open source and established the OceanBase Open Source Community. The community's official website was also launched simultaneously, opening up 3 million lines of core code to the community.

On August 10, 2022, the 2022 OceanBase Annual Conference with the theme "Small is Big" was held. OceanBase announced a comprehensive upgrade of its products, services, ecosystem, and developer applications, and released the industry's first single-machine distributed integrated database, OceanBase 4.0.

Analyzing the past, OceanBase has continuously led the development of distributed database technology from native distributed to single-machine distributed integration in the past two years, and has created new possibilities for key business systems. The theme development has gradually shifted from external openness and sharing to self-developed technological innovation and continuous development, with a greater focus on indigenous innovation and cooperative ecosystem. This has lowered the threshold for use, tackled key business workloads, and helped businesses reduce costs and increase efficiency, creating more possibilities.
