In order to address various unpredictable risks and disasters, Harbin Bank has introduced DSG's disaster recovery solution, using DSG SuperSync high-performance replication tool for large-scale databases to achieve database-level disaster recovery, thus ensuring the continuity and security of business operations.
Harbin Bank, established in 1997, is the first commercial bank to be listed in the Northeast region of China, and also the first urban commercial bank in the Northeast region to obtain foreign exchange trading rights. As one of the four market makers for RMB against the Russian ruble in the national interbank foreign exchange market, Harbin Bank is also the largest bank in China in terms of domestic ruble cash operations.

After extensive POC testing and evaluation, DSG became the data synchronization vendor for Harbin Bank's data disaster recovery construction, ensuring real-time remote replication backup of data to guarantee quick business switching and recovery. To ensure the effective implementation of the construction, Harbin Bank has also put forward corresponding requirements for the data synchronization tool.
Sync Tool Requirements
- Meet the functions of heterogeneous database support, cross-version and cross-platform compatibility, cascading, and reverse switching;
- Ability to ensure continuous data synchronization during business primary and standby switch;
- Delay during normal transaction time should not exceed 5 seconds;
- Meet the consistency check of objects and data.
In this project, DSG SuperSync serves as a data synchronization tool, synchronizing real-time data from 11 business systems including SMS platform, mobile banking, smart customer service, opics, front-end, verification, electronic government bonds, city-wide deposit and withdrawal, unified identity authentication platform, fingerprint, and paperless to the disaster recovery center to ensure a delay of less than 5 seconds during non-batch processing. At the same time, a reverse link is configured to ensure the continuity of business systems during the switch between primary and standby databases. During the project implementation process, DSG provided a professional service team to support project delivery. After the successful implementation of the project, all equipment of Harbin Bank operates stably and reliably, and the system has disaster recovery capability.

Deployment Instructions
- Deploy the data collection program in the highest performance mode on the production servers at both the source and target ends to maximize synchronization performance.
- The data collection agent collects data from the source database through TCP/IP and loads the obtained data into the disaster recovery database through TCP/IP.
- Deploy DSG SuperSync for bidirectional switching, which allows the production database to synchronize data to the disaster recovery database in one direction. In the event of a production database failure, data can be quickly switched back to the production database from the disaster recovery database, and then switched back after the business is restored.
Performance indicators
- The daily log volume of each business system is approximately 10-100G, with the majority of the large log volume concentrated during the batch processing phase at night.
- The delay of each business system is within 5 seconds.
- CPU usage <5%, and software memory usage <2G.
- In the event of equipment failure, the disaster recovery center can ensure 100% data availability.
